The Endoscopy Center of New York (ECNY) is designed to provide gastrointestinal procedural and health care excellence in a personalized, comfortable and state-of-the-art facility. Our 12,000 square foot facility utilizes the latest generation of video endoscopes produced by the leading manufacturer of precision endoscopic equipment. The Olympus 190 series is the first video endoscope to incorporate high definition video technology. At ECNY, we also use CO2 (carbon dioxide) rather than air for distending the colon during colonoscopies. The use of CO2 has been shown to reduce the incidence of gas, bloating and abdominal discomfort following a colonoscopy.
Each of our gastroenterologists has attending privileges at one of four major academic teaching hospitals in Manhattan, including Mount Sinai Hospital, New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, NYU Langone Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital. All of our anesthesiologists at ECNY are board certified physicians with over 10 years of professional experience in anesthesia and with particular expertise in outpatient gastrointestinal procedures. State-of-the-art monitoring equipment is utilized throughout the center and all emergency and safety equipment as would be found in a hospital operating room or emergency room is available.
The physicians and staff at The Endoscopy Center of New York (ECNY) are committed to meeting the gastrointestinal health care needs of our community by providing care regardless of a patient’s race, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation or disability and by making charity care available.
To fulfill our mission, we are committed to:
- Listening to our patients and their families
- Earning the trust and respect of patients, family members, and the community
- Exceeding the expectations of those we serve
