Jonathan Ko is a Board Certified anesthesiologist who has been in practice for 10 years. He received his BA in Biology and as well as an MPH from The Johns Hopkins University. He then received his Medical Degree from Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. He went on to complete his anesthesia training at the Columbia University Department of Anesthesiology. During his career Dr. Ko has worked in both private practice hospitals and academic medical centers. In 2010 he was appointed Assistant Professor for the Columbia University Department of Anesthesiology. While there he specialized in ambulatory, regional and obstetrical anesthesia. He has as a particular interest in the systems management of the perioperative process. In 2012 he was appointed Director of Anesthesia Services for the Mount Sinai Hospital Endoscopy Center. In this capacity he gave numerous lectures and workshops on the anesthetic management of the high-risk patient for endoscopic procedures. He is a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists.
