Dr. Frado is a clinical instructor of medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Her professional passions include colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, GERD, functional bowel disease, and general hepatology. She is skilled in state of the art techniques of colonoscopy (including water immersion technique and endoscopic mucosal resection polypectomy), upper endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and video capsule endoscopy.
After completing her undergraduate degree in biology in the honor’s program at Boston College, she received her Master’s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. She obtained her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY and completed her internship and residency at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She then went to the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital for her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship. She has participated in extensive research and presented her award-winning work at national meetings.
Dr. Frado is passionate about patient education, and strives to make sure her patients are well informed and able to participate in the medical decision making process.
