Ari Grinspan, M.D.

Dr. Grinspan received his MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He performed his internal medicine training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He then completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he remains as full time faculty. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He pioneered the Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) program to treat recurrent and refractory Clostridium difficile infection at Mount Sinai, which has developed into a referral center for the tri-state area. His research focuses on exploring the mechanism and clinical utility of FMT in Clostridium difficile infection and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
